Dear Colleagues,
As we navigate our way through this uncertain time in our economy I am buoyed by the fact that I know teachers are well prepared to endure whatever is thrown at them. I feel certain that the high quality of education our students enjoy will not be unduly affected by the current times. Your professionalism is the key.
Local 55 will continue to support our members through the provision of services such as Professional Development, conference and tuition funding, Collective Agreement and contract interpretation, and liaising with the provincial ATA and government when appropriate. The many volunteers who participate in our committees are dedicated to serving their fellow members and advancing the professional status of teachers.
